Reach Healthcare Opens Its First Wellness Hub, a New Home for Happy Mama in San Diego
The nonprofit's first brick and mortar location brings studio, relaxation, learning, and healing spaces together under one roof. It opens its doors to the public at the Happy Mama Expo on Saturday, October 17, 2026.
SAN DIEGO, CA / ACCESS Newswire / October 14, 2026 / Reach Healthcare (Reach), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and founder of Happy Mama, announces the opening of its new wellness hub at 9520 Padgett Street, San Diego, CA 92126. The hub marks Reach's first brick-and-mortar location. Until now, Reach's programs, including Happy Mama, have operated virtually and through partner locations. While these outlets will continue to support families across California, the new facility represents an important milestone in Reach's commitment to whole-person maternal and family wellness.
The wellness hub is exactly that: a hub, much more than an office. It brings together a studio, relaxation lounge, and dedicated areas for learning and healing, providing a safe, nurturing environment where expecting and new families can decompress, connect, receive personalized support, and be celebrated.
"Happy Mama has always met mothers where they are: online, in partner clinics, in community spaces," says Fran Ayalasomayajula, DMsc, MPH, CD(DONA), President of Reach and Founder of Happy Mama. "Now mothers have a place dedicated to their whole person wellness. This hub is our promise that no one has to walk the path to parenthood alone."
The wellness hub was brought to life through the generosity of local businesses specializing in interior design, furnishings, and related services, including Myers Pro Painting and Services, overseen by Jordan Myers; Business Office Outfitters, with contributions coordinated by Nicolas Sinclair; FM Workspace Solutions, directed by co-owner Theodore McCarron; and Everything Creative Designs, led by owner Carol Kaplan.
Experience the new hub this coming weekend at the Happy Mama Expo 2026, taking place at the wellness hub on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The free, in-person event features wellness sessions, information booths, maternity vendors, drop-in infant and child CPR demonstrations, giveaways, a scavenger hunt, a photo booth, food, raffles, and free baby items. Vendors include WIC, Healthy Start, Early Start, Neighborhood Healthcare, Little Heartbeats CPR, Raphael's Party Rental, and Rita Kanno, partner with Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith, through her volunteer connection with Project Glimmer.
